Go S. on Broadway Site #1 at the NE corner of the bridge.

1.  TOLL HOUSE - Just before crossing the bridge at Broadway (NE corner of the bridge), stands the old toll house for the Wabash & Erie Canal.  Barrages and canal boats stopped on the southside of the toll house to unload supplies and settlers.   This is the oldest historic structure in Peru, built around 1840.
